Meet Our Mascot

Meet Delmar the Bloodhound, official "spokesdog" for the Blood Bank. He sleeps. He snores. He barks. He begs. OK, so he doesn't beg. But, he's pretty likable anyway.
We're hoping Delmar becomes a familiar symbol on the Delmarva Peninsula. When people see or hear Delmar, we want them to think of the Blood Bank. Just as they would associate Smokey the Bear with preventing forest fires -- we want Delmar the Bloodhound to be the symbol for joining the Blood Bank and giving blood.

Delmar's Biography
Often seen sporting a bandanna with the Blood Bank's logo around his neck, Delmar has a distinct personality. He is dedicated to good causes and does not realize that he is, in fact, a dog. Not only does he volunteer for the Blood Bank, he also assists the State Police in criminal investigations. He does, however, manage to find time for recreation, such as frisbee catching and, of course, napping.
