Christiana Care has been a huge supporter since the 1960s. They have been participating in our Summer Blood Challenge since it began in 2002, and they have always taken top honors for their size category. Christiana Care also demonstrates their support by allowing their Blood Bank representative to regularly speak at their New Employee Orientations, and recruit new members at their satellite offices.

Artesian Water

Artesian Water has moved full speed ahead in supporting the Blood Bank. More than 50% of their employees are members. In 2007, they brought a record-breaking team of 98 to our 5K!

Valero Energy Corporation

Valero began supporting the Blood Bank in the 1960’s. More than 41% of their employees support the community blood program!

The company has also been a great supporter of our Summer Blood Challenge, they include the Blood Bank in their annual health fair and have their Blood Bank rep come in to recruit their new hires.

This is a very proactive group who identifies every opportunity to recruit new members. When they had an influx of transferring employees from other GM plants outside of the Delmarva Peninsula, they notified us to come in to recruit them at their mandatory training meetings. We recruited over 65 new members during the first few months of 2006. Thank you for your commitment to saving lives!
